# Attach a file

Attaches a file to the conversation. The request body is the file's raw bytes; `Content-Type` declares its media type, and `?name=` names it. The upload answers with the new artifact.

`POST /v1/users/{userId}/conversations/{conversationId}/artifacts`

## Authentication

Both headers are required.

- Header: `X-Api-Key: YOUR_API_KEY`
- Header: `Authorization: Bearer YOUR_USER_TOKEN`

A credential is missing, invalid or expired.
